Arch of Septimius Severus

Erected at the northeast end of the Roman Forum in 203 A.D. to commemorate the victories in the Parthian campaigns of 195 and 203 A.D.  by Severus and his sons Caracalla and Geta, this triumphal arch is one of three still standing in Rome today.
